CEREC TOOTH-COLORED SAME-DAY PORCELAIN CROWNS IN TROPHY CLUB, TX

At Parkview Dental, we are excited about how technology can make the dental experience better for our patients. One technology that our patients love is our CEREC unit. CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, and with this technology, we can make you beautiful tooth-colored restorations straight from our office in a single visit.

Historically, and in most offices today, the crown procedure includes multiple visits:

  • On the first visit, the doctor prepares the crown, takes an impression, and you go home with a temporary crown which inevitably falls off during the 1–2 week wait for your final crown to come back from the lab.
  • You then have to go a second time to have the final restoration cemented. Both appointments often require shots and valuable time from your schedule.

With CEREC technology we can accurately, comfortably, and more efficiently complete the restorative procedure in a single visit*. This means that you only need one visit and one shot and you will have a beautiful tooth-colored restoration!

We can also save more of your natural healthy tooth with CEREC using partial restorations such as inlays and onlays. This is better for your tooth and the long-term outcome of the restoration.
So how does this technology work? Simple, we have the ability to digitally image the 3D impression and design your ideal restoration using the software. With an in-office mill, your crown or restoration is cut out of ceramic blocks with precision. Your final restoration can then be placed the same day helping you avoid more time and more shots. Because this process is more comfortable and precise, you can now have more dentistry done in one visit than ever before!
